Chelsea is a versatile soprano specializing in opera & musical theatre. She holds degrees in vocal performance from Linfield College BA and Arizona State University MM and recently debuted the role of Pamina in Aquilon Music Festival’s new production of The Magic Flute. She has performed in Opera Bend’s 2020 production of L’elisir d’amore (Gianetta), with Elsinore Theater in Annie Get your Gun (Winnie Tate) and A Christmas Story, (Mrs. Schwartz/Ensemble). Other Salem-area engagements include Enlightened Theatrics’ The Foreigner, (Catherine) and Theatre 33’s Summer Series of new plays in Tips for Raising my Daughter (Erika) by playwright Laura Wheatman Hill, Burst (Sarah Boyd) by playwright Rachel Bublitz - a semifinalist for 2019 Bay Area Playwrights Festival - and The Forgiveness Tree (Maggie).

At Hale Center Theatre in Arizona, Chelsea was in 9-5 The Musical (Doralee Rhodes), Sondheim on Sondheim (Leslie Kritzer) with Scottsdale Musical Theatre Co., and was featured in the Portland musical premiere of Shanghaied! (Squeak/Ensemble) by Rachel Tusler. Other productions include Carousel (Carrie Pipperidge) and Into The Woods (Rapunzel).

In collaboration with composer Libby Larsen, Chelsea premiered the Moabit Sonnets at Linfield College as a soprano soloist. In solo performances she has sung with Arizona State chamber choir in Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s St. Cecilia’s Mass, and with Zion Mennonite Church in Handel’s Messiah.

Opera roles include Die Fledermaus (Adele) with Cascadia Concert Opera, H.M.S Pinafore, (Cousin Hebe/Josephine cover) L’elisir d’amore, (Gianetta) and Guadalupe: The Opera world premiere, (Dancer/Ensemble) at Arizona State.

Chelsea maintains a private voice and music studio in the Willamette Valley.
